On 7 December 2021, Queensland Health published the Public Health and Social Measures linked to vaccination status Direction (the Public Health Direction). See link for access a copy of the Public Health Direction, https://www.health.qld.gov.au/…/cho-public-health…
____
The Public Health Direction now makes it law that from 5:00am on 17 December 2021, patrons and staff attending the club must be fully vaccinated, unless they hold a valid exemption.
____
Since the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic our focus has been on the health and safety of our community, and this remains unwavering. We will continue to do everything we can to abide by government directions in order to try and help our community get through this difficult period.
____
We do respect all of our staff and members personal choices in relation to the vaccination. Unfortunately, during this period those members, staff and guests who choose not to receive the vaccination will not be able to attend the club. This means in order to enter the club you will need to be able to show proof of your vaccination status.
____
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or evidence of medical contraindication (printed or electronic) includes:
____
1, Written confirmation of COVID-19 vaccination provided to the person as part of the vaccination process, such as a record of vaccine card; or
2, Vaccination information displayed on the Check in Qld app;or
3, COVID-19 digital certificate or printed vaccination certificate from the Australian Immunisation Register; or
4, An online or printed immunisation history statement for COVID-19 vaccination, including confirmation of a medical contraindication; or
A visitor’s immunisation history statement can be obtained from the Australian Government using myGov, the Medicare mobile app or by calling the Australian Immunisation Register and requesting a statement to be posted.
____
If a person is unable to receive a COVID-19 vaccination because of a medical contraindication, they must provide evidence of a medical contraindication. Upon provision of evidence of a medical contraindication, a person will be treated as if they are fully vaccinated for the vaccination entry requirements and to determine occupant density.
We thank our members, guests, staff, and sponsors for your unwavering support during this difficult period. We look forward to a time we can welcome everyone back to the club in the near future.
____
We understand that this mandate may be upsetting for some. This decision has been made for us and our staff. Harrup Park will have zero tolerance for anyone who is abusive towards our staff or any other patrons.
