Harrup Park and Mackay Cricket were recognised at the 2021 Clubs QLD Awards for Excellence. We took out the highly regarded ‘Support of Sport’ award for our continued support of female cricket in the Mackay region.
Our female cricket programs provide accessibility and equal opportunity to females of all ages. Our women’s program is currently seen as the best in the state and boasts incredible attendance rates.
As a club whose essence revolves around making sport possible for everyone to participate in and enjoy, we are extremely proud to receive the award.

Mackay Cricket Association
In 1939 Harrup Park became the home of cricket in Mackay. From these very humble beginnings, Harrup Park has become one of the premier cricketing facilities in Queensland. With 5 turf wickets and 3 fields under lights, the GBRA complex is every cricketer’s dream! Both Junior and Senior Cricket competitions are conducted by Mackay Cricket Association within Mackay and districts.
Mackay AFL
AFL commenced at Harrup Park in May 2007, with the match of the round played at the Club every Saturday during the season. Harrup Park is the regional home for AFL with the office of the AFL Development Manager situated at the Club.
